Summary: Merrell Spire Stretch
Comment: These shoes are nice, however, the fit is way too small! I got a half size larger than what I need and it is still too small. I recommend getting a full size larger than needed and wearing thin socks. Also, it was said in another post that I read that the arch support is great. I honestly do not agree. I felt the arch, but it was not that supportive. I am returning my pair.

Summary: Merrill is not what it used to be
Comment: Once upon a time, I loved Merrill footwear. It was sturdy, comfortable and looked good. When I saw they were producing more fashionable footwear, I got excited. However, this is the second pair I've returned from their newer lines. They don't fit as well as they used to (my feet haven't changed) and the structure of the shoe feels strange. It's not something I want to get used to.

Summary: Better than barefoot
Comment: I have to tell anyone, who has lower back or foot pain, to try a pair of Merrells. When you try them on, they feel comfortable, but once you wear them for a week, you'll never wear another brand of footwear (unless you have to). Most of their shoes need no "break in" time. I own these in black. I own more than 20 pairs of Merrells, I have been wearing these for years. The cool thing about them is, when you see someone else wearing a pair, it's like you're both in on a secret. You know, you're walking in heaven.
