Summary: Plantar fasciitis sufferers buy this now!
Comment: I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I can hardly walk down the block without crumpling in pain. Before I bought the shoes I checked out the website - pretty informative. Also my boss bought a pair. She loved them. I was sold. I can now go hiking for almost two hours without having to rest. I am noticing results even when I'm not wearing shoes. I love these shoes!! They're expensive but worth it@

Summary: Good product - bad Customer service
Comment: I loved these sneakers - for a couple of weeks. Then the sensor in the left shoe failed and I am left with a half-inch difference between my left and right foot...and a $250 pair of useless sneakers. Like a previous reivewer, numerous attempts to contact Swiss Masai MBT were a waste of my time. I would love to have another pair - they feel great and my back pain was essentially gone - but am not interesting in shelling out another chunk of change for a defective product (unless the left side is good this time, maybe then I will have a complete set!)

Summary: Poor execution, terrible costumer service/policy
Comment: I have a pair of Swiss Masai Sport High shoes that i purchased in 2006. The "Masai Sensor", the elliptical section underneath the heel has come unglued torn after 6 months of very light use. I didn't use these shoes as recreational/sport equipment and feel this may be a defect.
After many unsuccessful tries to contact Masai USA through their e-mail system, I end-up calling the original seller. They told me that the warranty expired after 6 months and there is nothing they can do, but they gave me Masai USA Corp. number. There, i was cut short by representative. It's been over 6 months, end of story. Needless to say i'm left with bitter taste in my mouth.
I love the idea but the poor execution in my case and terrible costumer policy/service set me back over $260.

Summary: Interesting concept...
Comment: I purchased these shoes after reading numerous reviews on several sites, most of which stated that they either relieved pain or built leg muscles. I was already an avid runner, and my legs have always been pretty muscular, so maybe that is why after a few weeks I have not seen, or felt any difference. This does not mean that these shoes do not work, they just do not work for me with the 1.5 inch soles. I will be purchasing the 2 inch soles instead, and recommend that anyone who keeps a stable exercise regime do the same. I will say that these are definitely comfortable shoes, I can see how people say that they relieve pain and correct bad posture. They would be excellent for wearing at a job that requires a lot of walking or standing. I would like to also mention that I ordered a half size larger like amazon and several other sites recommended, and they were a little too big. If your feet are narrow, or small, stick with your regular size.

Comment: I have owned a pair of MBTs for a couple months and I absolutely love them! I am quite overweight and have a hard time standing still longer than 5 minutes because of excrutiating back pain. In these shoes I can stand pain-free for an hour (and maybe more)!
