Comment: Reading the amazon reviews on this shoe is more convincing than an infomercial. It's 14 ratings, all 5 stars at the time of writing. I usually go for the highest rated stuff on amazon. Well, I wasn't blown away, but I'm not unsatisfied. The shoe is light weight and very comfortable and there's nothing really to complain about. It could use a little water proofing because a single drop of water can easily permeate the top of the shoe and immediately be felt, but I guess that would be a byproduct of a good ventilation design. However, these things are designed for running and nothings worse than instantaneous wet socks while jogging through the neighborhood and accidentally grazing small puddles. The back heel on the inside of the shoe is slightly elevated, which I felt awkward at first because I've never had a shoe like this. It felt pretty comfortable while running though.

Comment: This is the best shoe I've ever owned. I have bought my second pair after running my 2nd marathon and I'll run my 3rd in these. Excellent motion control and support without a lot of weight. The 7 layeres of padding (you can see them at www.asics.com) don't wear out easy so you can train, train, train, and run a long time on these.

Comment: Ever since I tried this running shoe, I've never gone back to other brands. My foot tends to pronate and the gel in the kayano model of this shoe does wonders for your posture and gives the foot that extra support. When running longer distances, its important to have a shoe that goes with you and this kayano is just that shoe. I totally recommend it!

Comment: Since every review has some level of bias, I should first say that Asics and New Balance are my favorite shoes. I looked up reviews at specialized sites and chose this model. You pay less than the 2007 ones, which are hardly any different. Also it comes in a variety of widths, a plus in my case as my size is 2E.The Kayano is a long time best seller and you cant go wrong with these XII.
